 Falcons' bowl opponent named California had been 5-and-0 and ranked second in the AP poll before a 31-28 loss to Oregon State on October 13. Starting with that game, the Bears lost six of their last seven. Air Force accepted its bid last week to play in the Armed Forces Bowl, to be played December 31 on the TCU campus. It is the first bowl game since 2002 for the Falcons, who won six of their last seven games this season.
