 Teen dies after being hit by a car Pueblo Police say a teenager who was struck by a car Thursday, died while in the hospital. It happened around 4:30 Thursday on Northern Avenue.
Jason Smith, 14, was walking home from school and was struck by a passing car. He was flown to a Denver hospital where he died. Officers investigating the accident said the driver of the car was not at fault.
A fund has been set up to pay for costs associated with the boy's hospitalization and burial at Security Service Federal Credit Union at 310 E. Abriendo Ave. in Pueblo.
