 Wife arrested in husband's shooting death A Las Animas County woman is accused of fatally shooting her husband. Authorities arrested Ann Tatum, 57, over the weekend. The shooting happened in the small town of Weston Thursday night. Weston is about 24 miles west of Trinidad.
An off-duty sheriff's deputy says he witnessed Tatum and her husband James get into a physical fight during an argument at their home and then he says he saw Ann pull the trigger.
Ann Tatum faces a second degree murder charge.
James Tatum was a former county attorney.
